Anshel Hotel Seminyak

Pros: Good location. Close to the beach and to the main street in Seminyak. Clean. Good wifi. Elevator. Friendly staff. Very good cafe that serves a good breakfast located nearby the hotel.

Cons: Upon entering the room, the washbasin is located on the left, with two glass-enclosed cubicles beside it—one for the toilet and one for the shower. The bed is positioned directly opposite the entrance. There is no separate bathroom area: although the shower and toilet are in separate enclosures, both glass doors face the bed directly. Since the washbasin is located within the main room, the layout offers very limited privacy, particularly when the room is shared by two people. No breakfast is served. Lack of laundry service but there is one close to the hotel and is very cheap.

Lovely hotel, great value

Pros: Great location close to the beach and between two of the main streets of Seminyak with bars/restaurants/shopping nearby, but out of the noisy hustle and bustle.

Bargain Bali

Pros: The staff at the Anshel were very friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my chats with Dewi, she was so lovely and happy to help with anything I needed. I arrived later than planned, and Dewi asked the kitchen to stay open so I could order room service. When the TV in my room wasn't working, she organised an upgrade to a superior room at no charge. My room was comfortable and great value for money. The hotel is in a relatively quiet area of Seminyak, close to convenience stores, and the fantastic Rose Spa just down the street. My friends stayed in a villa around the corner, and we walked everywhere and always felt safe.

Cons: No complaints

Excellent place and staff. Would highly recommend to stay here and we’ll be back here again.

Pros: I liked everything about the property. The attached cage and restaurant were awesome too!

Cons: The aircon in our room didn’t work so we were moved to a better room where the aircon did work.

Pros: Affordable option, friendly staff, nice cafe downstairs, good location not far from the beach with lots of options around. Room is fine albeit a weird layout

Cons: Drain was a bit smelly, towels a bit old, pool not very inviting.

Great value, food and clean

Pros: Great place, was very clean, the host was a nice man and helpful. The food was yum

Cons: Shower took a bit of time to heat up but got there in the end.

Cold showers

Pros: Location good, air con good, comfortable bed and pillows

Cons: No hot water! Or even warm water. I had cold showers for 7 nights. I told the staff on three occasions, but still cold showers. On 3rd time, staff member told me to wait 10-12 minutes for it to warm up. Nope, it didn't, and I moved lever to left and tried and moved to right and tried. All just cold water. I would have been happy with just warm water, but no, it was always cold.
